What is roofing estimating software?
Software that turns a roof into a priced, itemized estimate — measuring the roof area, pitch and facet layout, applying a waste factor, and costing every line item that makes up a re-roof. McQueen Roofing measures from satellite imagery, so it needs an address rather than a site visit.
Is this only for contractors?
No. It's the same software and the same $18 per measured roof whether you're pricing your own roof or quoting a customer's. There is no separate homeowner or contractor price.
Is this instead of hiring a contractor?
No — it's a starting point. Homeowners get a fair number before they talk to anyone; contractors use it to quote faster, not to replace the relationship with their customer.
How accurate is the estimate?
It's built on the same measurement-to-cost pipeline professional estimators use — pitch, waste factor, and current material/labor pricing — refined by real roofing data, not a generic construction average.
Does anyone else see my property information?
Only if you choose to share it. Your estimate is yours by default.
What if I already use other software?
McQueen Roofing isn't trying to replace your CRM — it's built to get a professional quote out fast, especially for the estimates you don't have time to build from scratch.
Do I need a drone or aerial report to use this?
No. You can enter measurements manually, upload an existing aerial report if you have one, or start with just an address — McQueen Roofing works with whatever you've got.
Does this work for every roof type?
McQueen Roofing is built and tuned for asphalt shingle re-roofs first — the most common residential job type. Metal, flat/EPDM, and repair-specific estimating are on the roadmap.
